A strong performance by David and Olivier Hart in their Speedlover Porsche was rewarded with a fantastic third-place finish overall.
After qualifying on Saturday morning, father and son were allowed to start from 7th place. Unfortunately, a Code 60 prevented them from advancing any further.
As usual, David took the start, cleverly coming in immediately after a sudden rain shower to change his slicks for rain tires. Once back on track, he managed to secure a spot in the top four and the fastest Porsche of the entire field.
Thanks to the changing weather conditions and the very fast lap times, especially on the wet surface, David and Olivier managed to drive their Porsche to P3.
Olivier took charge of the final stint and, in many cases, managed to keep pace with the Renault RS01 and the Liger LMP3 on the wet surface, sometimes even closing the gap.
A fantastic P3 finish in this strong field, and honored with a trophy and flowers, the Hart gentlemen concluded their 2017 racing season on a high note.
