GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES MONZA REPORT

Not only with classic race cars, but now also with the Chevrolet Camaro, Olivier Hart is showcasing his talent against a strong international field at Monza.

The V8 racing appearance in the powerful Camaro during the GT4 championship was supposed to be a one-off, but after a strong performance from Olivier, he’s definitely hungry for more.

Two races were held during the weekend with none other than the experienced Duncan Huisman, marking Olivier’s first time in this international field featuring all the top brands in motorsport.

Duncan started from P16, quickly moving his Camaro up to P5 and pitting in P2 for the 90-second pit stop with a change.

Now it was Olivier’s turn to show what he was capable of with the powerful Camaro, which he demonstrated immediately, taking P1 after a few laps.

After a safety car with 17 minutes remaining, a real battle broke out in the top three, with the leader constantly changing.

Unfortunately for the team, a pit stop (2 seconds) was called for a stop-and-go, causing Olivier to drop from P2 to P20 at the end of the race.

For race 2 on Sunday, Olivier started from P1 after a superb qualifying session where he was even 1.1 seconds faster than his teammate.

It was a fantastic battle, with constantly changing positions in the top three. Olivier managed to keep a cool head and show the competition his exceptional ability to overtake his rivals from the outside in very wet conditions.

After a pit stop that went well this time, Duncan’s Camaro finished P13. Olivier once again won a nice watch from the organizers for his exceptional performance.
