The challenging circuit on the Spanish coast near Barcelona was expected to be a weekend with great results for the DHG Racing Team, and one thing was certain: it was a success!

This time, we raced in the Patrick Peter Series with the Lola/Cobra, and with the GT40, we drove two races in the Historic Endurance Series. Saturday was the Ford GT40’s turn. Olivier started from pole and managed to stay ahead by over 30 seconds throughout the race, securing his first victory.

The Cobra was allowed to run its 120-minute race at the end of the day. From the front row, David made a good start and moved further up the order. Olivier finished the race perfectly, with a lead of over a minute, securing his second victory.

The best race of Sunday was the Lola, where David would drive the entire race. In a super-strong field featuring Porsche 917s, Ferrari 512s, McLarens, and Chevron cars, David managed to secure fourth place in practice. The flying start was a deafening roar from this powerful field. David quickly found his way into the top three, making for a truly thrilling race for the spectators. Initially, it was a battle for second place with the Ferrari 512S, going door-to-door, and at times, it escalated into a titanic battle, won by the oil-covered Lola, which was now closing in on the Porsche 917. Here too, it was a close call between David’s Lola and the Porsche 917, which was very strong on the straight. With a very small deficit and a battered Lola, David took home the second-place trophy, one of his finest races in the Lola T70.

Before leaving for the Netherlands, there was the second race with the GT40. Once again, David, from pole, managed to outpace the entire field. Olivier, who was allowed to finish the second part, showed once again that he is made of the right racing wood with incredible lap times he crossed the finish line first with more than 1 minute.
