This year’s Goodwood Revival boasted the very best ingredients: the Indian Summer, the spectators, the cars, and especially the incredibly strong driver field.
David and Olivier Hart, and this year Nicolas Minassion, were tasked with upholding the DHG’s reputation. David and Olivier shared the Jaguar E-Type, with David in the Lister Jaguar, and, as a highlight, Olivier and Nicolas in the Ford Tojeiro, the team’s newest addition.
The first race of the weekend was the two-hour Kinrara Trophy race with the E-Type. The drivers had been stuck in fifth place due to poor fuel flow. Fortunately, the second row offered plenty of opportunities for the race. David made another lightning start and managed to exit the first corner in third place. He later lost another position but continued to closely follow the top three until he spun and was severely damaged by a wall of dirt. After an emergency pit stop, Olivier took over the wheel. However, so much time had already been lost that even Olivier no longer had a chance of a high ranking, despite his lap times being equal to the top three.
On Saturday, David was allowed to drive the Lister Jaguar. The car had been performing very well recently, allowing him to qualify the Lister in fourth place. P4 remained P4 throughout the race, but what a fantastic battle it was in this leading group. Everyone was battling it out, making the race extremely exciting. David ultimately settled for P4 without taking too many risks. The top four cars were within a second of the checkered flag. David had set the fastest lap time of all the Jaguars and the fastest time of the race by a thousandth of a second: a fantastic achievement.

The highlight of the weekend was the RAC Celebration Trophy. Here, Olivier was once again given the opportunity to prove himself alongside none other than Nicolas Minassian, the former Le Mans Peugeot driver with whom he shared the Ford Tojeiro.
The Tojeiro is the team’s newest addition, a recently acquired car that hadn’t raced for years and came from a Scottish museum. A few days before the race weekend, testing took place on an oval track in Germany, and the bird’s nests still had to be removed from the cockpit. It was therefore quite exceptional that the Tojeiro had to compete with the top drivers at Goodwood, a considerable challenge for this newcomer. Nicolas took first place in qualifying and quickly set a very competitive time. Olivier took it easy but still managed a fantastic starting position on the front row, P2. Minassian started in the Tojeiro and quickly took the lead, holding it until the mandatory pit stop. Olivier took over the wheel to finish his job and take home the victory. Unfortunately, things didn’t go well for the young driver, who had to park the car in the pits due to fuel pressure issues. However, the two men still managed to set the fastest lap time, and Olivier was very close to the fastest time until the very end.
