DHG RACING HEADS TO LE MANS CLASSIC WITH QUARTET OF TOP CARS

DHG Racing will be at the start of no fewer than four different events during the Le Mans Classic. During the event, which is held every two years on the world-famous circuit in the east of France, David and Olivier Hart will be chasing silverware in front of sold-out grandstands.

2023 marks the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the festivities also translate to this edition of the Le Mans Classic, which, with full grids and sold-out grandstands, can undoubtedly call itself one of the most prestigious historic events.

Over seventy GTs and sports cars from recent history are at the start of the Endurance Legends. It is in this class where David and Olivier Hart, with the Courage C60 LMP1, a car built near the circuit, will attempt to win the two races of the weekend. With the sports cars, the duo will take on competition using iconic weapons such as the Toyota GT-One, Audi R8, Bentley Speed 8, and Ferrari 333SP, ensuring a spectacle.

In the Group C class, intended for sports cars from the eighties and early nineties, David and Olivier will race the Lola T92-10. Powered by a Judd V10, the British Lola must be considered one of the favourites in a field full of Peugeots, Porsches, and Jaguars from one of the golden eras of endurance racing.

While the Endurance Legends and Group C classes are incredibly spectacular, during the Le Mans Classic, they serve as the support programme for the grid races. David and Olivier will be in action in two Grids, races for specific classic time periods. In Grid 4, father and son share the Ford GT40, one of several examples of the American GT that dominated Le Mans in the mid-sixties. The races in Grid 4 are characterised by a Le Mans start, where drivers must cross the home straight, jump into their cars, and start the engines themselves. Grid 5 takes participants to the seventies and features a “normal” rolling start. In this field, David and Olivier race with the well-known Lola T70 MK3B, taking on Porsche 906s and 917s and a whole range of other strong sports cars and GTs. Both Grids will be in action three times, including a night race, forming the highlight of the Le Mans Classic.
